The HeroX Spotlight Series: Introducing Eloise Young

This week’s spotlight shines a light on Eloise Young, our Senior Challenge Designer. From challenge design to content production, Eloise does it all here at HeroX. She’s our go-to for all things crowdsourcing and client support. She is someone everyone on the team can rely on to provide feedback on content or a particular project. Her knowledge in this particular space is insurmountable, we’d surely be lost without her.

Eloise comes to HeroX with a background in organic chemistry. After a long and prosperous career in product development, she changed her focus to open innovation. For almost a decade Eloise worked with an open innovation platform running hundreds of projects, which included designing and running challenges. This eventually led her to HeroX as a contractor, working on a project-by-project basis. Now she is officially a full-timer (or should I say lifer because once a HeroXer, always a HeroXer).

How has HeroX been lucky enough to gain Eloise as a full-time team member?

“While working with HeroX on and off, I loved both the work and the team. I was keen to be a part of HeroX. I love that everyone is so positive, supportive, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the work done. The mindset of helping all of us succeed, both as individuals and as a team, and also encouraging each of us to be an ever-improving version of ourselves IS FANTASTIC. What is remarkable is that I see that mindset consistently displayed in everyone’s day-to-day actions.”

When Eloise isn’t supporting our clients through open innovation, she’s usually indulging in one of her many hobbies. From knitting to baking, reading to hiking, she enjoys it all.  She and her husband are also avid curlers. Eloise is always up for trying out a new craft or learning a new skill, and we love hearing all about it. Originally from Boston, she now resides in Cleveland with her husband. They have three adult children.

Eloise is a true gem, we are forever grateful she joined our team!
