HeroX goes BOLD!

BY LIZ TREADWELL | 1 min read

Our CEO and Director of Customer Success traveled from Vancouver, British Columbia to attend the inaugural BOLD Awards at H-FARM in Venice, Italy. The event highlighted not only achievements in crowdfunding and crowdsourcing, but general innovation across a variety of categories.

Hundreds of entries were submitted across the 15 award categories. To help narrow down to the top five finalists in each, the crowd got involved through a public voting round. A very appropriate strategy given the focus on crowdsourcing! Once the five finalists were determined, a panel of judges ultimately selected the winners. Our own CEO was on the judging panel for the Boldest Crowdsourced Online Platform which was won by Mindhive.

In addition to judging an award, HeroX also presented in the following categories:

  • Boldest Future Robot, won by Vostok. Vostok is a robot – camera simulation software to train the next generation of programmers
  • Boldest Space Frontier, won by Open Cosmos. Open Cosmos was founded to deliver effective satellite-based solutions for global challenges. They are able to reduce cost and complexity to gain actionable data from space through customizations on a per project basis.

You can view the full list of winners on the BOLD Awards website here. Congratulations to all who won! HeroX was honored to be a part of this event and we hope to attend again next year.
