Will this software be used for Government Contract, Grant, Cooperative Agreement, or Space Act Agreement? - Should this be "yes" or "no"? and what are the details if "yes"?
Just want to make sure I'm filling this out properly.
@Michael Schreiber Your request for the software as part of this competition is not part of a Government Contract, Grant, Cooperative Agreement or Space Act Agreement, so you should answer no to this question.
@Daniel Pareja It will most likely be weeks. Once you get approved they send you your code in the mail, yes the physical mail (we are dealing with the government). Once you have the code from the mail you'll be good to start digging around.
"Use only personal non-affiliated emails like Gmail or Yahoo. Company or .edu emails should not be used since you are competing as an individual and they imply affiliation."
@Greg Boggs You'll only need the base FUN3D software for both this and the Topcoder challenges. The Gas Path version won't be needed for the scope described here. As long as you also applied for the normal FUN3D version you should still be in that approval queue.
@Jon Stumpf You can either work with a another person and submit a single entry under one of your names, or you may create a team on HeroX and submit that way. (Look for the create a team dialog next near the big orange "Begin Entry" button.
The new software package NASA is preparing for a late June release will be available for download directly from https://software.nasa.gov/ without a formal application process. This software package will remove the need for the full FUN3D package.
