How do I win?

Step 1, the Meme Submission deadline:

  • Participants have until April 28, 2022 to upload their memes to this page.
  • Memes will be screened for eligibility within 48 hrs of submission.
  • ‘Original content’ means that your meme, as a whole, must be an original composition. However, you may borrow elements from other sources.
  • Memes that are determined to be wholly copied from another source will be ineligible to win a prize.
  • You may submit multiple images and/or videos to this challenge.
  • Your memes must be created in English or must provide an English translation in the submission form.
  • Your submissions may not glorify violence, display gore or nudity, or contain other objectionable content as determined by the Challenge Sponsor. We encourage you to create memes that are supportive, creative, and/or humorous.
  • All content posted to the HeroX website must also comply with the HeroX website’s Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions. Scroll down to the Official Rules for further information.
  • All submissions will be considered contributions to the public domain so that anyone may share, modify, and repost them elsewhere.
  • All accepted submissions will also be made publicly visible on the challenge page soon after they are marked as eligible. This is to allow others to take inspiration from the challenge’s memes and to share the memes on their own networks.

Step 2, the Activity Submission deadline:

  • As soon as your meme is marked as eligible, you should begin posting and sharing your meme on the internet! Make sure your posts are publicly visible.
  • Then, after April 28, 2022, you will be invited to submit links to the top 5 places your meme was posted on the internet or evidence of how viral your meme became. You will have until May 5, 2022 to submit your links at this web page.
  • Your links should either connect directly to your original post or to someone else’s share of your post.
  • For example, you can link to either your original tweet or to a retweet if the retweet was more popular. However, your original post must still be referenced in the shared post for it to count. (Other examples of a shared post include a Facebook share, a Reddit crosspost, a link to a newscast that uses your meme, etc.)
  • If you submit a video for your meme, you may link to the video’s original location on Youtube for its views, to a post on another website that references your video, or to both.
  • The challenge cannot accept links to posts that have expired or are not visible to the Challenge Sponsor, such as Instagram stories. Your linked post needs to be visible after May 5, 2022.
  • To be eligible for an award, you must show how your meme has gone viral. This will be determined by checking the links and supporting information you provide. The Challenge Sponsor will check for overall activity and engagement, compared with your competitors.
