“Advancing resilient infrastructure and sustainable space systems through science and simulation.”
Dr. Toan Duc Cao is a faculty member at Rochester Institute of Technology specializing in geotechnical engineering, multi-physics modeling, and material degradation under extreme environments. His research focuses on the coupled thermal–hydro–mechanical behavior of infrastructure systems, including concrete structures exposed to radiation, thawing soils, and regolith-based lunar habitats. He collaborates with institutions across the U.S. and Europe and is passionate about developing simulation-driven solutions for climate-resilient and space-ready technologies.
