What is your innovation?
VeriPAT is a biometric server based secure patient identification system which utilizes a combination of a finger print scan and unique patient identifier. Registration involves entering patient information, answering security questions, scanning a patient’s finger and generating a unique identifier. Positive patient identification is achieved by scanning the patient’s fingerprint or by scanning the patient identification card along with confirming key security questions by the patient.

What was the motivation behind your innovation?
My vision to bring healthcare information into the hands of the patient motivated me to develop VeriPAT.
How does your story bring the "Wow Factor"?
My story engages the reader by talking about hidden fears that we all have and exemplifies how pushing through those fears can lead to something positive and motivating.
