My innovation is using suction cups and tubes and relieving the astronauts from wearing adult diapers . I had to think a lot before coming to my innovation . The waste from the astronauts would be collected in a cylinder and then compressed so as to occupy minimum space . My innovation works for urine ,solid waste.The astronauts will be able to walk ,sit and perform various actions , easily while wearing the poop collector .
I was inspired by the suction cups , and hence my innovation also includes those . My poop collector is important as it will free the astronauts from wearing those diapers ,which are so unhygienic .
The motivation behind my innovation is my dream to work in NASA . The reason i opted the poop challenge is because it was being hosted by my dream company . I wish when i grow up i get a chance to work there (I'm 19 now ). The biggest problem with me was that i don't have enough money to implement any of my ideas. I'm having plenty of ideas but the money factor is holding me back . So all i can do is share my ideas . And that's what i did in the space poop challenge .
The "WOW Factor " in my story is despite of lack of resources ,i still was able to help my dream company . As said earlier i can't make a model , all i can say was just ideas . But no one was interested to just mere thoughts . I'm grateful to HEROX as because of whom i was able to convey my idea to NASA.
