To address the Space Poop Challenge, the in-suit waste management system, "Universal BioWaste Control" was created to deal with the excess bio-waste through liquid purification with the use of 0.1 micron hollow fibers, separation and storage of solid waste with the use of piston pumps to create a suction effect or vacuum to surpass the challenge of micro-gravity; while maintaining hygiene through specialized undergarments with micro-jets which enable cleaning of the remaining residue of the "sensitive places".
The Human Circulatory System inspired our innovation of Universal BioWaste Control (UBWC); the UBWC is important for astronauts' hygiene which would impact their health stuck in a suit for six days
To make the exploration of space more comfortable for the astronauts who risk their lives for the sake of knowledge and discovery. Staying clean and healthy is the way to do so.
I believe having a team made up of different members from four different time zones compiling a video, research, diagrams, and a 15 page report in three days due to lack of time, and overcoming the many challenges faced with different ideals and restrictions for a common goal is an amazing feat.
