As many teams continue to be impacted by COVID-19 restrictions on university campuses, the deadline for the Phase 2 Report has been extended to February 12, 2021. The Phase 2 Report Template has been updated only in the section regarding thrust termination . As staff has discussed with each team individually, thrust termination is a recommended, but not necessarily required, component of your project.
The timeline for the Base 11 Space Challenge has been updated (see Guidelines and Timeline). Please note that the December 2021 launch window is still "on" and we will be unable to extend launch windows beyond 2021. In light of the compressed timeline and the months we've lost to the pandemic, the hot fire test challenge & prize has been canceled. The Phase 3 deadline remains in June 2021. If you would like more time to work toward your Phase 3/Launch Readiness Report, you can always submit your Phase 2 Report early and the Safety Council will provide feedback within 6 weeks.
