Over the course of its 16-year history, the annual ideacity conference has more than earned its reputation as North America's premier “meeting of the minds.” With a roster of distinguished thinkers from around the world – including scientists, artists and writers, activists, entrepreneurs, academics and explorers – ideacity is more than just a platform for new concepts, it’s an incubator for inspiration.

Curated and produced by media innovator Moses Znaimer, ideacity brings together 50 of the brightest minds on the planet, packaged up with generous refreshment/schmooze breaks and a legendary party each night. In fact, the audience experience is a key component of ideacity’s uniqueness as the audience itself is intelligent, active and engaged. Unlike other conferences where access to the speakers is very limited (or non-existent), at ideacity the audience mingles and connects with the speakers – and with each other.

The Challenge
ideacity is as stimulating as TED but much more intimate and with greater opportunity to network with the speakers. And for less than 1/3 the price! How can we spread the word and get new people to attend, especially those outside of the “home market” of Toronto and southern Ontario?

Ideacity is teaming up with the HeroX platform to invite you to become an ideacity Ambassador. We’re giving you the opportunity to get creative and sell ideacity tickets to your friends and colleagues at a substantial discount off the regular price. And, we have exciting rewards for whoever sells the most!

The Prizes
1st Place Prize: The top Competitor wins with the most number of passes sold! You must sell a minimum of 10 and we'll give you $5000 in cash plus $500 for every additional pass sold after achieving the minimum number. And then, we'll also give you 2 VIP Sponsor Passes (valued at $4000 each) for you to use!

 This totals at least $13,000 and you can make it more!
2nd Place Prize: The second top Competitor wins with the second highest number of passes sold! You must sell a minimum of 5 and we'll give you $2500 in cash plus $500 for every additional pass sold after achieving the minimum number. And then, we'll also give you 1 VIP Sponsor Pass (valued at $4000) for you to use!

 This totals at least $6,500 and you can make it more!
3rd Place Prize: $500 per pass for the next highest number sold (no minimum)!

Honorable Mention: For every pass sold that you refer, you will receive a $250 credit regardless of whether or not you are in the Top 3. All of your registrations will get our special conference sponsor rate of $2500, which is a $1500 savings off of the regular $4000 conference fee. Every prize team/individual participant will be listed as an “ideacity Ambassador” in the program material.

Duration
The challenge deadline is Friday, June 12th, 2015 at 12:00 pm.

Selection of Winner
Prizes will be awarded based on the criteria as outlined in each of the prize descriptions. In the case of a tie for the prize in one of the levels, the prize purse for that level will be duplicated and all qualified teams/individuals will be awarded.

Who Can Participate
The Challenge is open to all teams/individuals.

Registration and Submissions
When you register as a Competitor, we will send you a personalized referral code to get you started. You then promote the conference to your networks; social media, web, email or other creative channels. When people register through our conference link using your referral code and payment is completed, you are "credited" with their registration. At the end of the contest, we will compare your submission summary with our tracking to confirm the number of referrals you have successfully completed as sales.
