How to Judge Screencast

When you're invited to be a judge on a challenge, you will receive an email notification with a button that will take you through the account creation process. If you already have an account, you can go directly to the challenge on HeroX to accept (or decline) the invitation.

Once the challenge is in the Judging stage, you will be able to view the Entries tab and see the dashboard where the submissions are assigned to you. Click on the button to view the full list of submissions. The total number you need to score will be in parentheses ().

Click on the blue hyperlinked submission title in order to view the submission comments and find the Set Score button. When you're ready, click on the Set Score button to add a value for each criteria set by the challenge administrator. There are also optional comment boxes where you can send private notes to the administrator to justify your score or include other thoughts on the submission quality. These comments will not be visible or sent to the submitter. Once you've finished setting values for each criteria, click the Submit button to save.

If you need to adjust a score on a submission, you can go back and edit them at any point until the Judging phase concludes. Be sure to click the Update button at the bottom to save the new score.

You will see the score you've saved for each submission in your main dashboard list. Once all submissions have scores, there are no additional steps needed to finalize them.

The Export dropdown on your submission dashboard list allows you to export them to a PDF and allows you to export your scores to a spreadsheet. Please note that these exports will only include submissions specifically assigned to you, not the rest of the judging panel.
