TEAM Captain: Eduardo Heinrich-Sanchez is a skilled and passionate grass roots leader with a track record of action as we celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the I ♥ Okinawa Campaign® promoting Education Innovation, clean beaches and good things for our island home: Our ocean planet. Born in the USA, from Cuban parents, raised in the Canary Islands and matured in Okinawa as a "Global Shimanchu - World Ocean Citizen". Eduardo is a member of the Global Learning XPRIZE Genki Learning Team. He is producer for Imagine if...Pro. as a Imagination Liaison Officer. After teaching for over 20 years in the public schools, started the Speak Good English Movement Japan from Okinawa "Okinawa EiGo 5" to raise standards by the 2020 Olympics. He is also developing the Ryukyu Ocean Ranger Program for a Blue Peace Alliance towards a World Oceans Renaissance by 2033. I am a life member of Veterans For Peace (VFP) and a Language Instructor working on a new batch of Stone Soup for Sustainable Islands. I am a student of Motobu Ryu. The first TED talk I watched was Dr. Sylvia Earle's TED Prize Talk: "My wish: Protect our oceans". In 2013 he co-curated the TEDxRyukyu held at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University. We will not stop, We will not rest until our children are given every opportunity to access the tools they need to create a sustainable future and enjoy the journey while they're at it.
