bio
A senior in Mechanical Engineering with a passion for entrepreneurship while building more sustainable futures both in technology and society. Believing in the value of the arts and of strong communities to nourish what is fundamentally human, and that a wider appreciation of nature and science will lead to a healthier future. An innovator and team leader with skills honed from years of experience in a diverse range of fields including: sustainable energy, scientific research, aerospace, consumer product design, startup businesses, and vertically integrated manufacturing. Combining imaginative solutions with a meticulous and practical approach in both business and engineering. Keeping the bigger picture of the mission and the organization always in mind while striving to provide the best answers for new challenges, I am always looking for ways to improve existing designs or processes while keeping the end-user and the sustainability of whole system in mind. Recognized for going beyond expectations, hitting the ground running with initiative and self-direction, proactively identifying and addressing issues, collaborating well in groups of engineers and a diverse range of teammates, as well as providing a wide array of talents from hands-on prototype fabrication and testing, to research and development, to team leadership and project management. Accomplishments include: • Providing technical and market analysis of emerging deep-tech; • Leading the development and manufacturing of the innovative Navajo/Survival line at Woodstock Soapstone Stoves which successfully won a federal contract with the EPA; • Completing over 36 prototype projects at Radio Flyer over the course of three months; • Assisting in the development of equipment for the fueling of NASA’s Signa Spacecraft; • Providing engineering support in the commissioning of Sedron Technology’s Omni-Processor;
