With over a decade of experience in biomedical research, I am a stem cell biologist specializing in human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and their application to neurodegenerative disease modeling and regenerative medicine. My work focuses on reprogramming somatic cells into hiPSCs and directing their differentiation into functionally relevant neuronal subtypes, including dopaminergic neurons, striatal medium spiny neuron and parvalbumin-positive GABAergic neurons. I have extensive expertise in expanding and differentiating hiPSCs into dopaminergic neurons, as well as in characterizing cellular phenotypes using flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry to validate lineage-specific biomarkers. I am also contribute to our sensory neuron and oligodendrocytes project by employ transcription factors into the iPSC using TALEN system to accelerate the neuron differentiation and maturation.
