bio
Quick facts:
3rd year in Electrical and Computer Engineering (and Minor in Business) at UT Austin. Love robotics and CyberSecurity. Huge fan of open source software. Alum of FRC Team 3481 BroncBotz. Also play Ingress.
Long story:
Got started with programming in 5th grade. My parents got my sister a Nintendo DSi, but I got tired of the games it came with. So I went to the web browser and learned that it could run JavaScript. I found a website where other DSi users had come to the same conclusion and decided to make a website to host these scripts. From there, I decided I wanted to learn how to make websites too, so I picked up HTML and CSS. Then I found others making social networks for the DSi Community, so I learned how to do that too, picking up PHP and MySQL. I then started to toy with everything else I owned, writing math programs for my calculator (in TIBASIC) so I wouldn't have to memorize any formulas for class and rooting and ROMing my Android device. Joined the Speech and Debate team, loved Policy Debate, and even competed at Nationals. Moved schools, and my time going to Speech and Debate shifted to robotics (FTC 6221 and FRC 3481 [Java and C++]), making it to the World Championships every year. Got admitted to UT Austin, where Eric Johnson and I founded Texas Aerial Robotics. TAR is currently ranked 2nd place in the US venue of the International Aerial Robotics Competition - a competition focused on the cutting edge of aerial vehicles. As the current President of TAR, we are working extremely hard towards beating the teams from the Chinese venue.
