Trish Nyarumbu

Nyarumbu Trish started work as a Research Officer at the Horticulture Research Institute in 2004 and was elevated to Principal Research Officer in 2008. She is also a part time tutor with the Zimbabwe Open University Mashonaland East Region from 2008 to date. She has won two competitive fellowships from NUFIC to attend short courses on Plant genetic resources and Climate change governance in India and Netherlands respectively. Ms Nyarumbu has passion about sustainable agriculture, which forms the basis of her research work in horticultural crops more specific deciduous fruit trees. She was attached at NASA Ames Research in the United States of America in 2014 as an Emerging leader in science, a Techwomen initiative in promoting women in science.
