Dr. Zhiyong (Tom) Xu is a scholar-entrepreneur with experience spanning renewable energy materials, advanced energy storage, microgrids, DC ecosystems, and AI-enabled energy applications. He currently serves as founder and CEO of AGreatE Inc. (USA), and Research Professor at SUNY Binghamton.
He has led work from laboratory research to engineering translation, industrial commercialization, and international market development. He is also a strong advocate of the Ubiquitous Zero-Carbon Power System (UZCPS), which integrates renewable microgrids, full-spectrum storage, mobile power delivery, DC ecosystems, and AI-based safety management to deliver zero-carbon electricity anytime, anywhere, for any application scenario.
