“Disrupting the status quo!”
bio
I am a writer, emergency planner, defence and security specialist, environmentalist, technologist, traveller and historian who has worked in over 50 countries around the globe. My portfolio includes small island renewable projects, river conservation, major disaster response and exploration of extremely remote regions. My formal education is in Materials Technology (BEng), International Relations (MA) and Applied Technology (MA). My interests include cycling, cross-country skiing, fly-fishing, motorbikes, food and fine wines. Crowdsourcing is my great passion as the ingenuity and innovation of crowds is the only way to solve the 'wicked problems' of the modern world. I am currently researching ways to switch to a green economy while boosting the livelihoods and prospects of the lower income section of society. Favourite Quote - "Failure is the greatest teacher" (Yoda). Inspirational People - Jacinda Adern, Sir David Attenborough, Muhammed Ali. Favourite cuisine - Indian. Greatest strengths - Patience and Perseverance. Areas I would like to Improve - Language skills and upper body strength!
