Naadiya is a serial social entrepreneur by passion, a civil engineer by training, and is Co-Founder & CEO at WomEng (Women in Engineering), an international non-profit company developing the next generation of female engineering leaders in Africa. WomEng currently works with 3000 girls & women in South Africa and Kenya and was awarded Top NGO in South Africa in 2013 and is a current Finalist for the Qatar WISE Awards for Innovation in Education. Naadiya holds a BSc Civil Engineering and MSc Engineering degrees and currently completing her MBA. She serves as a Director at Pegasys, a niche management consultancy working in public transport, climate and natural resources, and is an emeritus board director for the International Youth Foundation providing skills building, leadership & entrepreneurship training for youth globally. Naadiya is a YouthActionNet global leadership fellow, an African Leadership Network Fellow and an associate of the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance. Naadiya is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and in 2014 was named as “Top 20 Young Power Women in Africa” by Forbes Magazine. She has won numerous awards including Most Influential Woman of the Year, Frost & Sullivan Visionary Leadership Award and Top 100 Brightest Young Minds in South Africa. She is passionate about developing STEM, fostering growth & prosperity in Africa, developing & mentoring the next generation of youth leaders and engineering better societies.
