Matthew has over 20 years of experience as a career entrepreneur, executive, and principal investor in the energy industry with experience across the whole energy value chain. Currently he serves as CEO of his own fractional CFO and fractional executive practice, Anexus CFO, serving energy and technology startups. Matt previously founded and ran TerraStor, a startup focused on deploying utility-scale compressed air energy storage systems paired with subsurface geologic caverns. Matt founded the has served in executive oil and gas roles as the founder and CEO of Poplar Resources and CFO of Magellan Petroleum Corp (NASDAQ:MPET). He previously held principal investment roles focused on power and energy at Mubadala, Arcapita, and Compass Partners. He graduated from Harvard with an A.B. in Classics and is a CFA charterholder.
