I am Marissa Rodriguez and I am a Biology Honors student at the University of Texas at Austin. While at UT Austin, I have contributed to my lab's research in algae metabolism and how urbanization affect the algal communities of creeks around Austin, Texas. I competed in the first AlgaePrize Competition in the Polyculture Jam Team. We presented at NREL as finalists, and I hope to gain more experience along with contributing to the algal field of research.
