Lois Healy is a Financial Coach, Army Veteran, HUD approved Housing Counselor, who enjoys helping Veterans, Disabled, seniors and low to moderate income individuals and families understand how to navigate the waters of their financial life and make their income work for them. Lois combines a mix of professional leadership development and business strategy to help clients own their own life and their own future. She is the CEO of Affordable Homeownership Foundation Inc. whose mission is to help the economically vulnerable veterans and consumers of our region achieve financial literacy, attain homeownership, participate in the American dream, and contribute to more stable, vital neighborhoods. To create this transition they offer advocacy, education, counseling and grant assistance, and they work to increase the availability of safe, decent, affordable housing opportunities. Lois believes that it only takes one catastrophic event in someone’s personal life to put them one step closer to being homeless. That is why she believes that financial literacy needs to start at a very young age and she also understands that if given the knowledge early on in life can change the course of your life. Lois is originally from the Adirondack Mountains in upstate NY and has two children, Nicole and Shaun. Lois has lived here since 1981. Lois is a past present of The Zonta Club of Bonita Springs, The American Cancer Society and The Arts Council of Lee County. She was Vice President of the board for Home Ownership Resource Center and Homes For All, and has served as a board member of several other non-profit boards.
