Environmentalist since the age of 6, lapsed zoologist, former environmental economist, working in innovation and sustainability to shift mindsets and seek interventions for systems transformation. James is a Director at Xynteo, responsible for building Xynteo’s investment partnerships and a managing cross-sector partnerships to incubate inclusive and sustainable business models and develop future-fit leaders. He joined Xynteo from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), where he designed and led a range of senior executive programmes , as well as leading the development of CISL's capability to deliver online education. Earlier he conducted research for a UN initiative and major report on 'The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity' (TEEB), and modelled the global economic value of nature tourism for the Natural Capital Project. James holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge
