Hussain Saleh has a BSc in Civil Engineering (1987), MSc (1996) and PhD (1999) in the field of Geomatic Engineering and Operational Research. His post-doctorate within the European Community Marie Curie Fellowship (2001–2003) was in dynamic optimisation of real-life applications based on disaster management. His main research activities combine sustainable integrated water resources management, climate change, early warning systems, risk analysis and the linkages between the environmental, regional, and spatial planning for disaster management and risk reduction.
