Fresh out of high school at the tender age of 17, Gailmarie entered the workforce, and soon married, becoming a full time executive homemaker for glorious 13 years. Subsequently, deciding to go corporate this time around, she returned to the workforce for a 50-year career that blossomed into an eclectic plethora of experience, ultimately resulting in doing what she loves to do: o Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) following in her sister’s footsteps as an RN, she learned quickly that the “medical field” was in reality a “medicine field”. This was traumatic and she knew this would not be her destiny, so she escaped mainstream healthcare. In later years, she returned to private duty as a memory care specialist for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients, finally settling on “food as medicine” Gailmarie Scott healthcare education. Temple and California Hospital, private homes, 1971-2019 o Sales and Customer Service at Fortune 100-500 companies with California teams at Superior International, LLCVice President Bank of America, Nordstrom, Nissan Motors USA and Delta Airlines. 1986-2004 o Executive Administrator utilizing strong organizational and communication skills to manage major projects, such as five (5) contracts on the $2.4Billion Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA) project, a 25-mile railroad project from downtown Los Angeles to the Port of Los Angeles. Drexell Equipment Company, 1999-2005 o Executive administrator concurrently for a Black contractor's association, assisting in acquisition of major private and public contracts for this group, one of which was a 25 store contract for contractors to build the first Home Depot from the ground up as Black contractors at Hollywood Park, Inglewood, CA, as well as Target Stores and other big box store projects. Young Black Contractors Association, 1999-2010 o Affiliate Relations Manager in the Oakland Bay area, Gailmarie initiated direct response infomercials to air on nationwide public low powered TV and radio stations and encouraged upgrade to the new digital platform from analog. Beanstalk Media, 2011 o Mortgage loan originator for the well-established Black owned Capital Loan Specialists, 2007 o Office Manager to oversee huge assets on the books in the Midwest Meeting the CEO of crude oil company by chance in a hotel lobby, she was hired as, and eventually became CEO for a short time. Petro America Corp, 2009 o Personal Assistant for a world renowned nonprofit business development expert in Kansas City to help with business mergers, corporate strategies, grant procurement, and community development by heightening client’s philanthropic efforts to make the world a better place. Creative Images (currently Philanthropy Alliance) 2009 o Office Manager for a Black-owned female trucking company to handle dispatch, employee training for driver software programs; she held a commercial Class A driver's permit. Sassy Trucking, 2018 o Global Distributor and Health Coach of MyShrooms, a true “food as medicine” career path currently serving and doing what she loves by educating on the use of MyShroms, rare organic medicinal mushroom blends that support and strengthen the immune and nervous systems and rapidly repairs the body of disease. Mycol Discoveries, LLC, 2019 to present o Warehouse Manager for a well-established PPE supply company. Emuna Company, 2021 o Global Consultant for new business development for global solutions in technology with Indigenous Peoples across Canada and Africa. Scott Consulting & Associates, 2014 to present o Vice President to bring global business solutions in health, agriculture, land development and technology with a team established in South Carolina. Superior International, LLC, 2020 to present Patron for a large group of businesswomen. African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP Kenya), 2014 Board Trustee currently serves 38 nations. Allied African Nations Chamber of Commerce, NY, 2010 to present Executive Board Member currently serves a “food as medicine” career path, doing what she loves by educating globally about MyShrooms for immune and nervous system health.
