Derrick is a visionary social entrepreneur born in Uganda, East Africa. He is a 2015 Halycon Fellow aswell as an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society and an Alumni Fellow of the DO School NYC Sustainable Cup Challenge.As a person who has experienced the dangers of using kerosene lights for reading firsthand, Derrick believes no African child should have to go through the same experience to realize their dreams in the 21st century. He is passionate about clean energy and works tirelessly to develop Africa's Uber for solar.
