Cary Eskow is Principal Design Architect at MagiCode LLC, focused on smart lighting solutions, low-power embedded systems design, and iOS app development. Formerly he served as Vice President, LightSpeed at Avnet, Inc., where he initiated and led their global focus on solid state lighting, in addition to commercial embedded/SSL/sensor product hardware design and software development. He has published over 80 articles and papers on various aspects of LED-based system design, IoT security, emerging sensor technology and photobiology. Cary is a member of UL-8750 Standards Technical Panel at Underwriters Laboratories and advisory board member of Strategies in Light. Prior development work includes distributed intelligence multispectral horticultural lighting, systems for pulmonary delivery of insulin, low-power radar-based sensors, ultra-fast pulse LED sources and optical image classifiers.
