Carlos has more than 15 years of experience designing and directing solar energy and sustainability solutions in industry, academia and as an entrepreneur. He has been dedicated to developing appropriate technologies and their business models to motivate sustainable development. He actively researches, lecturers and implements solutions in this space. He has published a dozen papers and given tens of presentations in international conferences in sustainability and renewable energy technologies. The past 6 years working in the US solar industry Carlos has designed and directed the construction of commercial scale solar thermal projects in St. Croix, Dominica, and Hawaii, ranging from multifamily low-income housing to 5-star hotels and military facilities. He has assisted with the recovery of solar thermal systems in Puerto Rico, Aruba, and Florida. His experience in academia and industry has rounded his understandings about the implementation of sustainable energy systems.
