bio
As Co-President of Georgia Tech’s Spaceport America Cup team, I regularly connect engineers from polarized technical backgrounds. In order to develop solutions for our research and vehicle development, it is paramount to understand that the avionics team and the propulsion team don’t necessarily have the same backgrounds in engineering. Aside from the high-level design, simulation, analysis, and budgeting, my job is to effectively connect the pieces of the vehicle together through clear and consistent communication. I translate the skills of a senior level structural engineer to fit with the experiences of a freshman in their first steps into a machine shop. It is an opportunity to be a problem solver and a designer, learning from multiple perspectives and continuously improving the vehicle, my teammates, and myself.
