The Mars Home
short description
I'm designing and building self sustainable homes that can be exported to Mars. They are just as good for building on Earth.
Your Story
What are you passionate about? [public]
I am very passionate about life. It may sound general, but the places we live, the food we eat, the means we use for transport are areas that haven't changed for such a long time. Changes are imminent and near future will provide us with a life quality never seen before. This excites me a lot. I also love to ride a bike, discover new places and learn about new cultures.
Your Prize Concept
If you are selected as a Visioneer, you will develop a prize concept in collaboration with a company sponsor, fellow innovators, and the XPRIZE team. This may or may not be the challenge concept you propose in this application.
What do you prize? [public]
The Mars Home Prize. A fully sustainable, lightweight structure that provides more comfort than any modern home. Also available on Earth.
What Grand Challenge do you propose a prize competition should solve? [public]
The Mars Home Prize Challenge should find a way to build a sustainable and easily transportable home on Mars. The final solution will provide novel materials and unique ways to combine them to host people on Mars as comfortably as on Earth.
The first step of the Prize will create a fully sustainable new-age home on Earth. During this stage the house will be tested and improved.
The second step is bringing the home to Mars to host the first colonists.
What would the world look like when the Grand Challenge is solved? [public]
When the Mars Home Challenge is solved we will have fully sustainable homes that can be transported to any place or planet. We will reduce the carbon emissions dramatically and provide autonomous solutions to places around the world where people are in need of housing.
