Over the next few weeks, ESRA will begin contacting your FoRs to ensure they are aware of the requirements for being a FoR.
I would HIGHLY recommend you contact your FoR and have a thorough discussion prior to ESRA contacting them.
Flyers of Record should understand the following:
- They are to be onsite with the student team for rocket preparations
- They should be completely familiar with the rocket as if they built it themselves
- They will be part of the pad team to ensure the rocket is properly prepared on the pad
- The FoRs name will be on the flight card
- Once the flight is complete, the FoR no longer needs to remain onsite, if they wish
Again, please make sure your FoR is aware he/she will be required to be onsite for the launch.
