After 11 years of operation, New Spirit has decided to empower the "creative class" in Jerusalem. The "Creative class" are the young leaders in the fields of entrepreneurship, the arts, humanities, economics and social change that by their activities in their respective fields, propell the city forward. We are looking for solid ideas that will advance your field and your interests in the city. If you have arrived at this stage then your idea is really something big!
How to crack the challenge?
Please lay out your idea, in as detailed a format as possible, that you would be interested in developing together with us, to promote the activity in the arts, humanities, economics or social change and maybe you'll win $5000!
How to Win:
Please submit a detailed proposal of the initiative that will be implemented in Jerusalem. It's time to dream and think outside the box. Don't worry if you do not have the resources to make it happen, we can do it together.
Schedule:
The competition will close on 30 April 2015 and the winners will be announced on 17 May 2015.
Competition Rules:
Who can participate? Everyone. The competition is open to the general public.
Choosing the winner:
Reward of $5,000 will be awarded to the individual \ group who will submit the proposal to the team. City Winners will be chosen at the discretion of judges from the New Spirit Judges Panel.
Criteria:
The idea must be original (50% of your total score)
The idea must have viable impact on the city (15% of your total score)
Appropriate stakeholders engaged (15% of your total score)
The idea must be implementable (10% of your total score)
Provide a schedule for implementation (10% of your total score)
We are looking for a ground breaking idea that will change the face of Jerusalem, socially, culturally, artistically, economically... It can be anything, the sky is the limit!
Judges:
The panel of judges is comprised of New Spirit staff and past participants in its programs. There are 7 judges. After the end of the competition committee members will review each proposal individually and rank them. Then the judges will meet and vote on the three highest ranked proposals, the proposal that wins the vote, wins the prize.
Register:
To be eligible to participate in the competition, each group \ individual must register in the space provided on the site. Applications that will be submitted after the closing date for registration, cannot take part in the competition.
