Below are the follow up questions with answers from the webinar:

Question: Can you clarify this request, from the submission form, "Provide a dollar amount ($ USD) that represents the estimated total development and full-scale solutions costs" - is that the cost to the proposer of developing the solution?

Question: In the submission form it states, “Describe a realistic deployment and operation scenario, and the time and cost you envision being required to successfully operate your solution." This seems to speak to just the cost to the dam owner for deploying the solution - can you confirm that this is correct?

Answers:

In addition to the helper text in the submission form for each of these sections, please see below:

USBR are looking for the deployment cost for the solution. There are two parts:

One is the cost to develop a solution that can work at the field scale to meet USBR’s needs (essentially the TRL 8/9 level).

The other is how much would it cost to actually use the solution on a particular project.

USBR assumes both costs will be rough estimates, as is expected with any low TRL solution under development. The ask is that solvers provide rationale and detail their assumptions so we can compare costs objectively.
