I shall be sharing how i was introduced to the holy bible through a friend when i was battling depression and wanted to end my life. These psalms simply bring joy and an endless and unexplainable joy to my heart. These words reassured me that i wasn't alone. The words have kept me going, And they can be instrumental to the wellbeing of a thousand more people who were in the same situation as me.
Being from a country where psychotherapists are not common or even affordable. I had no one to talk to. I was all alone in my world.
i will be sharing some Psalms that helped me through depressions. and i hope others can benefit from this therapeutic words.

Psalm 27 King James Version (KJV)
27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Psalm 34:18-20 New International Version (NIV)
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
19 The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;
20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

psalm 143 verse 8
8Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
9Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,
for I hide myself in you.

Psalm 118:24 English Standard Version (ESV)
24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

psalm 25 16-19
Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
17 Relieve the troubles of my heart
and free me from my anguish.
18 Look on my affliction and my distress
and take away all my sins.
19 See how numerous are my enemies
and how fiercely they hate me!

20 Guard my life and rescue me;
do not let me be put to shame,
for I take refuge in you.

Psalm 42:5 English Standard Version (ESV)
5 Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation

Psalm 94:18-19 New International Version (NIV)
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.
19 When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy..

These few verses and so many other verses spread across the holy bible especially in the psalms which i live to meditate on are a good start to healing to find hope to live and enjoy life. It almost felt like the holy books were written for me and spoke directly to me.I will always recommend it for healing.
