Dr. Twylla Dillion is a nationally recognized maternal health leader advancing birth equity across the United States. As President and CEO of HealthConnect One, she leads community-based doula care programs in 35 states and over 100 communities nationwide, working to improve maternal and infant health outcomes for families in underserved areas. Her work spans research, policy, and practice. She champions the organization of community-based birth workers into a unified national network, scales DoulaREADI®, a hospital accreditation program advancing Medicaid reimbursement, and leads Doulas Are for Every Body™, a national awareness campaign. An Aspen Institute Fellow, Dr. Dillion is driven by a mission to sustain community-based birth support and ensure every mother and baby not only survives, but thrives.
