Vitaly Fomin obtained his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology, focusing on TP53 and its roles in cancer and neurodegenerative disease.
He then transitioned to a data science and biomarker discovery role at Roche/Genentech, where he worked on understanding immunotherapy resistance mechanisms.
Subsequently, Vitaly took on a more senior position as the translational medicine lead at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing biomarker capabilities for cardiorenal and neuropsychiatric diseases.
Recognizing the limitations of traditional methods, Vitaly believed that we could achieve better outcomes for patients. This led him to found NUMENOS. NUMENOS developed a proprietary, defense-industry-inspired technology that enables our clinico-genomic foundation model to identify valuable biological insights within the data, even across indications. This groundbreaking capability unlocks unprecedented opportunities for clinical drug development.
