Shahin Shafiee

Dr. Shafiee’s background is in thermal-fluids sciences with research interests in the areas of energy storage, hydrogen storage, and building energy technologies. He is currently serving as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Prairie View A&M University. In this position, he is working on different methods for energy storage with a focus on thermal energy storage. Before joining PVAMU, Dr. Shafiee served as a postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech where he conducted specialized thermal property measurements on exotic thin films and powders along with modifications to some existing thermal measurement techniques. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, he worked as an adjunct faculty at Florida Institute of Technology and Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (Orlando campus).
