Roni Zeiger is the former Chief Health Strategist at Google, where he led
efforts ranging from Google Flu Trends to Symptom Search. In 2012, he
co-founded Smart Patients, an online community where patients and
caregivers learn from each other about treatments, the latest science, and
how it all fits into the context of their experience. Roni serves as CEO of
Smart Patients and continues to see patients part time at a local urgent
care center. He earned his MD at Stanford University and completed his
internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
Roni has served as a clinical instructor of medicine at Stanford University
School of Medicine and received a master’s degree in biomedical informatics
from Stanford.
