Ronald Choe was born in Veldhoven (The Netherlands) in 1977. He received his M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the Delft University of Technology in 2002. Upon graduation he served the Singapore Armed Forces with the rank of Lieutenant until 2004. During the period of 2005-2010 he has worked on UAV projects for ST Aerospace and DSO as an engineer and member of the technical staff, respectively. Since 2010, he is pursuing a Ph.D. Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the supervision of Prof. Naira Hovakimyan. His current interests are in the theory of nonlinear and robust adaptive control with applications in (autonomous) aerospace applications, (distributed) optimization, and cooperative trajectory generation and control of multi-vehicle systems.
