A successful business executive, Mr. Dahlstrom has founded two companies, attracted investors, built technology products and services and created profitable sustainable and high margin technology companies. Apellix is Mr. Dahlstrom’s second company. His previous company, BluePrint Data, started in 1998, is a Software as a Service OEM provider of Internet Filtering products and services. Prior to that he was a full time faculty member at Florida State University, worked for the Florida Legislature, and worked in a clean room at AT&T Microelectronics in wafer fabrication where he wrote his first computer program in 1986. Bob is enthused that software is “eating the world” and knows he has the vision, passion, and experience to pull together the right team to design and create software controlled robotic systems that keep people out of harms way and save lives. People know Bob to be an high energy, expert strategist that creates, builds and executes business and market strategies to relentlessly push toward operational excellence. He is known as someone that can put together excellent business strategies and business models. For example, one of the companies that he mentored had struggled with monetization of their product and with some advice and guidance were able to exponentially increase their potential market. This lead to new verticals where their product was valued as a premium solution generating significant sales and market penetration for a product that had previously lost money. People Bob works with say he has a “can do” attitude but is also highly personal and easy to work with. Mr. Dahlstrom likes to “give back” to the community and is active as an Advisory Board Member and strategic advisor for various not-for-profit entities.
