Pete is an inventor, with over 18 patents, including his most recent one for an Electric Jetpack, and an avid innovator in the field of personal flight and other areas, having built and flown 9 unique personal, VTOL aircraft in the past 3 years. He has previously and currently owned 5 companies doing everything from DoD, Counter-Roadside Bomb systems (having done over $20 million in contracts over 10 years) to personal flight, to UAV technology. He recently won a contract from DARPA to develop and commercialize his Electric Jetpack, the EJ-1.
