Matthias Burk is principal investigator and inventor of MICU. He is working together with the other principal investigators on the top level system design and the mineral detection process. He holds an Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and is working as an FPGA engineer in Roethenbach a. d. Pegnitz. He joined KSat Stuttgart e.V. in 2017 and worked on the sounding rocket experiments ROACH and ROACH2 in cooperation with ESA, DLR and Swedish National Space Agency (SNSA).
