Karima Addetia, MD, FRCPC is a Cardiologist with level III training in Echocardiography and Cardiovascular MRI who is currently Junior Faculty at the University of Chicago, Section of Cardiology, Chicago, IL, USA. She obtained her medical degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Newfoundland, Canada in the year 2001. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and fellowships also at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2005. She subsequently went on to complete both Cardiology and Echocardiography fellowships at McGill Univeristy in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 2011. She then worked as a Cardiologist for a year in Montreal before moving to Chicago to complete a fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging and research in 2014. During these two years she completed a fellowship in cardiovascular MRI and obtained advanced training in 3D echocardiography. Her research interests include the right ventricle, the tricuspid valve and using echocardiographic and cardiovascular-based tools to assess patient outcomes and response to therapies. This challenge is submitted on behalf of the University of Chicago and Epsilon Imaging.
