I am an engineer, explorer, designer, and futurist. My current position is in the engineering faculty at Arizona State University. I manage one of the schools flagship undergraduate engineering design programs, EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service). I have been in this position since 2015. Prior to this role, I was a systems engineer in the space and defense industry for over 10 years. My education is in aerospace and systems engineering as well as economic and social policy modeling. I've been involved with humanitarian engineering projects in various fields from water, education, health, sustainability, renewable energy, and food production.
