Jason Cotrell is the Founder and CEO of RCAM Technologies, Inc.—a rapidly growing international cleantech startup dedicated to developing advanced concrete manufacturing technologies and components for renewable energy and subsea energy storage systems. Jason has been working in renewable energy since the mid 90’s. He worked 22 years at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado where he was a senior engineer and manager of the 15-person Wind Turbine Technology and Innovation Group before starting RCAM Technologies in 2017. Jason has a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Jason has received a variety of profession awards in his career. Most recently, Jason accepted the 2021 BNOW Ventus Innovation of the Year Award on behalf of RCAM for its modular concrete fixed bottom foundation and won the “Most Impact Award” in 2022 at the DOE-sponsored National Energy Storage Summit for RCAM’s marine pumped hydroelectric storage system
