Dr. Dorotha Love Hall served as the Division for Global HIV and TB (DGHT) Program Director and Deputy, most recently in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Love Hall earned her doctoral degree in Public Health Administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Prior to joining CDC Kenya, Dr. Love Hall served as a senior public health advisor managing cooperative agreements and mentoring staff in the Division of Global Health Protection (DGHP) and the Emergency Response and Recovery Branch. Prior to her assignment with DGHP, she served as the Associate Director for Cooperative Agreements Management in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti where she led partners to reach all targets and expend 98% of awarded funds. Dr. Love Hall served as the Acting Country Director in Luanda, Angola for three years and during a time when the country experienced two outbreaks of anthrax as well as outbreaks of dengue and chikungunya. She began her career at CDC in 1999 as a Community Involvement Specialist/Public Health Advisor with the National Center for HIV STI and TB Prevention (NCHSTP). Dr. Love Hall received a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. She is also a certified government financial manager (CGFM) and has earned certifications as an international facilitator IAF) and an institutional review board (IRB) professional.
