David Katz is a renewable energy specialist with over eight years of experience in financial and energy modeling, project management, capital markets, strategy, and operations. Some of the work David is most proud of is his solar IPO - taking 7 project companies through 28 audits, constructing the largest rooftop solar project in New Jersey, and being the New York State manager for the SolSmart program - bringing renewable-friendly municipalities the accolades they deserve. David is also one of the premier experts in New York State renewable energy finance and policy. This has lead him to give talks and provide technical assistance to developers and the general public on how to traverse New York States complex market. David earned his Bachelors of Science in Wildlife Conservation with a dual degree from Syracuse University and SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry and his Masters in Public Administration in Environmental Science and Forestry from Columbia University.
