West Pensacola, Florida, United States
bio
With experience working at the Florida Institute of Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) I have had first-hand experience working with sophisticated humanoid robot platforms such as the Boston Dynamics Atlas and the NASA Valkyrie. My major field of research has been to evaluate currently existing SLAM techniques for variety of sensors including stereo cameras, monocular cameras and LIDAR on the MultiSense SL sensor suite by Carnegie Robotics. Furthermore, my final Capstone project itself has been on developing an entirely autonomous indoor quadcopter equipped to perform SLAM and Path-planning on-board to perform surveillance and mapping missions. With extensive knowledge in ROS, Linux, SLAM algorithms and Path-planning, as well as experience with 3D simulation/modelling/printing, and other skills such as soldering, tooling and hardware interfacing, I can build just about anything that I can imagine.
