Benjamin Alva is a third-year undergraduate in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, and Business Management at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He is a veteran of biotechnology competitions and has extensive synthetic biology experience. He is currently a Research Associate at NASA Ames Research Center developing the ISRU CO2-based bioreactor for manufacturing on the Moon and Mars.
