Arie Nakhmani, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Associate Scientist in the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 2004, 2007, and 2011 respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA, in 2011, and at Boston University, Boston, MA, in 2012. Then, Dr. Nakhmani worked at the UAB as a research engineer, until he received his present position in 2013. His research interests include mathematical modeling of dynamic systems, biomedical signal and image analysis, visual tracking, and robust control systems.
